Planned Activity Group
In addressing the need for socialisation of our Greek elderly, as well as respite options for their carer(s), Fronditha operates under its auspice a centre based Planned Activity Group (P.A.G). It is funded by HACC services, a joint State/Commonwealth initiative.
Eligibility – Target
areas
Fronditha’s P.A.G. caters for the Greek, frail and isolated elderly who live within the local Government areas of: Knox, Monash, Whitehorse, Manningham, Bayside, Greater Dandenong, Kingston, Caulfield and Port Phillip.
Activities
Activities offered by Fronditha P.A.G.
include:
- Companionship
- Gentle exercise program
- Discussion Groups
- Games
- Guest Speakers
- Outdoor trips
- Music program
Meals Morning tea, a Greek midday meal and
afternoon tea are provided.
Transportation Transportation by carer/family is
encouraged. Co-ordinators can arrange transportation to and from centre where
required
Cost Clients are required to contribute $7.00
per day. Referrals from funded Community care programs are accepted on a full
cost basis
