FRONDITHA HOME CARE
Fronditha Care Community Based Services was established to assist mainstream
organisations in providing culturally and linguistically sensitive services to Greek speaking elderly. It was designed to meet the demands of service providers who require Greek speaking Personal Care staff or Case Management for the following services:
Personal Care
This includes assistance/supervision with:
- personal hygiene eg: showering,
bathing, shaving, grooming, toileting
hair care and other non-nursing tasks
- dressing/undressing
- mobility
- eating and drinking
Home Care
General housekeeping tasks including:
- vacuuming and mopping
- cleaning bath, shower, toilet
- washing clothes
- ironing
- cleaning kitchen areas
Transportation/Escorts
Clients can be taken out for following:
- general outings/socialisation
- escorting to day care/senior citizens
clubs
- medical appointments
- shopping locally
- banking, paying bills
- shopping
Respite Care
This involves caring for an elderly
person to enable the primary carer
to have a break. Service can either
be home based or an outing.
Case Management
This can includes both short term and long
term cases and is subject to availability of case management staff.
Assessment
Initial in-home assessment for HACC providers including a written report.
All Personal Care staff have Certificate 111 Training in Aged Care and a current police check.
Services are delivered subject to availability of staff.
CANCELLATIONS/CHANGES
Notification of cancellations need to be made as soon as possible by telephone and then confirmed by email or fax or a fee may be incurred.
FEES
Fronditha Care has a schedule of fees that outlines service costs. These are subject to periodic change and agencies are notified accordingly. A copy can be obtained from the Co-ordinator.
